5 Fun Unique Ideas for your New Years Wedding
New Year's Eve is one of the most coveted wedding dates - and we can see why! Not only is a holiday wedding an excuse to party all night with your friends and family, but it’s also perfect for including festive props, sparkly decor, and an extra special kiss at midnight!
To help plan your countdown celebration, we’ve put together a list of five fun and unique ideas you can use to incorporate into your New Year’s Eve wedding!
1 - Use a Champagne Wall or Escort Cards
Pop the bubbly with the ones you love the most by incorporating a champagne wall at your reception! Add fun, festive words or phrases like “Cheers!” or “Meet us at Midnight” on the wall. You can even use your champagne as your guests’ escort cards! Just have each of their names written in cursive with a white, gold, or black pen on each flute!
2 - Host a Twilight Dinner Reception
Ring in the New Year and keep your guests fueled with a twilight dinner reception! Incorporate metallic tones like gold or silver in your chargers, plates, and flatware. Incorporate gold flakes into your cake or desserts to keep with the theme. Then light up the sky with plenty of twinkling lights or disco balls!

3 - Create a New Years Countdown
Instead of a traditional “Mr. and Mrs.” neon sign above your sweetheart table - consider going all out with the New Years Eve theme and add a digital clock to countdown the hours. You can also create a projection on the dance floor that counts down from 10 if you want to ring in the New Year on the dance floor!
4 - Incorporate Sparklers or Fireworks
When the clock strikes twelve, light up the sky with a mini fireworks show. If you’re looking for something a little more tame, add a sparkler fountain to your reception entrance or give your guests handheld sparklers to hold for your wedding exit. Any of these glamorous options will make for the most fabulous photo op!
5 - Add Clock Centerpieces to your Tables
Really lean into the New Years wedding theme by adding clock centerpieces to your reception tables. Keep it chic with modern black and white clocks or have a little fun with it and use clocks of different shapes and sizes on each table!
